#1 Bačvice
The sandy beach of Bacvice is the most popular beach in the city of Split. Located in a bay close to the harbour, Bacvice is just a short walking distance from the city center of Split.

How to arrive at the beach of Bacvice?
Walking: The easiest way to reach the beach is from the Split city port - from the main promenade (on the Eestern side of it), walk along the harbour, pass by the train and the main bus station, up the street cross the small bridge over the train rails and you will arrive at the beach of Bacvice. Approx. 10 minutes walking.
By car / taxi: It is just a short ride from the city center; 2 minutes by car from the Eastern side of the main promenade; taxi ride should not cost over 3 EUR (Uber recommended as for all transfers inside the city).
#2 Zlatni rat
Zlatni rat beach Bol, island of Brac. The Golden Horn (Zlatni rat) beach is most probably the best beach in Croatia and one of the best beaches in Mediterranean.

The beach is located in Bol, a small village on the Southern side of the island of Brac and therefore it can be reached only by ferry or by catamaran (fast line, for passengers only). If you want to swim at Zlatni rat, the best thing to do is to plan an entire day trip from Split.
How to arrive at Zlatni rat beach?
By ferry: Ferries from Split to Supetar: 9 up to 14 (in high season) departures from Split harbour, ferry ride about 50 minutes, last ferry from Supetar at 22.45 h, all year long. From Supetar to Bol there is a 35-40 minutes ride by car; parking places in Bol are available also in the proximity of the beach. If you go without a car, you can take the taxi or the local bus from Supetar to Bol.

#3 Punta rata
The Punta rata beach is located in Brela, a small village on the Dalmatian shore, about 60 km South-East from Split, in direction to Dubrovnik.

By car: 60 km from Split, take the "Magistrala", Adriatic road in direction of Omis - Makarska - Dubrovnik. Depending on traffic conditions, the journey from Split to Brela is about 45 min - 1h 15 minutes.

#4 Kašuni
Kasuni (or Kasjuni) is a Split city pebble beach, located in a bay underneath the Southern side of Marjan hill.

How to arrive at Kasuni beach?
Walking: From the main promenade follow the road on West: Trumiceva obala - Obala Kneza Branimira - Šetalište Ivana Meštrovića. It is not a short distance and there is about 45 min - 1 hour walking from the center of the city to the Kasuni beach.
By car / taxi: It is the same itinerary from the main promenade, ride is about 7 minutes and there is a parking lot at the beach (usually crowded). The taxi cost (Uber recommended) should not be over 5 EUR from the main promenade (the Western side of it).
By local bus:
From the city center, line 8, the bus stop at the city center is located near the Green market (bazar) and is called Trznica. You need to take the bus in the direction of Zvoncac; take off at the stop Zvoncac (the first stop after the tunnel) and then take the line number 12 in the direction of Bene; get off at the stop Kasjuni (Kašuni).
From the main promenade, line 12 (Sv.Frane - Bene): the bus stop at the promenade is called Sv.Frane after the nearby church of St. Francis (Sveti Frane); the get off stop is Kašuni (Kasjuni) and you need to ask the driver to be sure to get at the right stop. The ride is about 10 minutes.

How to arrive at Znajn beach?
Walking: The best way to arrive at Znajn by foot is from the beach of Bacvice - along the shore, by the sea, approx. 40 minutes from the city center.
By car / taxi: The ride from the city center is about 7 minutes and there is a parking lot at the beach (free of charge). The taxi cost (Uber recommended) should not be over 5 EUR from the main promenade (the Eastern side of it).
By local bus:
From the city center, line 8 (Žnjan - Tržnica - Zvončac - Tržnica - Žnjan), the bus stop at the city center is located near the Green market (bazar) and is called Trznica. You need to take the bus in the direction of Znjan; your get off station is the last stop of the line, Žnjan.

Kastelet (also known as Obojena) is a pebble city beach located on the Western shore of Split, in a bay underneath the Southern side of Marjan hill.

Walking: From the main promenade follow the road on West: Trumiceva obala - Obala Kneza Branimira - Šetalište Ivana Meštrovića. It is not a short distance and there is more than 1 hour walking from the center of the city to the Bene beach.
By car / taxi: The beach is located in the protected area of the Marjan park forrest and therefore it is not accesible by car.
By electrical train: It is the most popular and the best way to arrive at the beach of Bene. The departure station of the electrical train is located in front of the Croatian National Theatre in the city center (HNK, Hrvatsko Narodno Kazalište, address: Trg Gaje Bulata 1); frequent departures in high season, ride about 25 minutes, ticket cost less than 2 EUR.
